Today we
are constantly immersed in technological advancements that promote non stop communication and instant gratification whether through hand phones, laptops or iPods. I believe that the growth of technology has negative influenced the
social interactions of us because it isolates individuals from reality, hinders
communication and perpetuates the concept of immediate satisfaction.
The iPod is
one example. By putting in the ear buds and immersing ourselves in the music while
in public, we are disconnecting ourselves from the real world. Technology also
hinders personal communication, which negatively impacts our age group. Therefore,
we must learn to embrace technology without allowing it to negatively impact
the creation of functional adults in the society.
